I'm Feelin' 22
This past week I celebrated my 22nd birthday with 14 of my closest friends. On my actual birthday (which is the 2nd of November) I unfortunately had my computer aided design class from 8am-12pm and then my retail buying class from 5-9pm, so I didn't really get to celebrate that day. But on Friday, my best friend Melisa and her boyfriend Charlie picked me up and we drove into The Gulch, which is basically an amazing part of town in the city of Nashville. I had reservations for us and another friend of mine, Jami, at a restaurant called Adele's at around 8pm. We ended up arriving super early so I suggested, “lets go get gelato!?” and we totally did. Afterwords we met up with Jami for dinner and the food at Adele's was AMAZING. I would highly recommend if you are coming to Nashville. I had handmade gnocchi with kabocha squash, green beans, and caramelized shallots and then for dessert I ordered their seasonal Crostata with vanilla ice cream which was divine.
On Saturday morning, I met two of my friends at Caviar and Banana's in Midtown. This is one of my favorite places. They have breakfast, brunch, a salad bar, you name it. The food is so good and I love the interior of this place. Afterwords I went shopping for an outfit (of course) and then around 2pm my friend Hadley came by my house and we hung out until we started to get ready around 7pm for dinner. My friend Melisa showed up around 7:30 and when she walked in we were wearing the exact same shade of maroon. I can't say I'm surprised we've literally said we are the same person since we met. Dinner reservations were at a French restaurant called Le Sel and we all had a blast. One of my closest friends drove in from Chattanooga and it was super emotional seeing her again. It had been a long time since we got to see each other and a blessing she was able to make it. Since I don't eat meat or seafood and Le Sel is French, I had cauliflower soup which was surprisingly really good. Everyone seemed to have a great time, and this ended up being one of my favorite birthdays yet!
