Internship Adventures: Alina & Rose -003
This week was a busy one! We were trying to decide between shooting in the Gulch or Downtown. Based on accessibility and weather we chose the Gulch! Senni and Olivia needed to shoot some of the clothing items they were sent. They also needed to shoot some product shots and some Instagram content. This was the first time with them I experienced cat calling while we were shooting. They were incredibly professional during the incident as it has happened to them before, and unfortunately often when shooting in a public place. The only thing I’ll say about it, is please don't! Let's just mind our own business, I am sure we are all capable of looking at what's happening and then politely moving on. Though, I was able to see the best way to handle a situation like that from a photographer’s point of view and a model.
This week I was also able to see challenges with weather, as it is SO hot in Nashville! Even by 8am it is about 80 something with humidity. But we were able to push through that and get everything we needed. Something else I was able to observe was how dark bottoms on a model and light tops are often going to be a challenge when shooting product outside. It's best to figure out a good way to photograph them so that both the colors and details are able to be seen and not distorted. I also love being able to look into how a successful post is planned. They think about so much beforehand and when we shoot its relatively all the same shots, just with a new creative spin on it. (lol if that makes any sense)!
