Internship Adventures: Alina & Rose -007
Hi all! This week was the week of the Alina and Rose pop up shop at White’s Mercantile in Nashville! White’s is a very welcoming store and hosts pop up shop availability for a variety of upcoming Nashville brands, influencers, and business’. Alina and Rose have an online store where they sell t-shirts and other items that are designed by Senni and Olivia. It is a business idea they both had wanted to start for a while. As of right now they have their ‘Star Sleeved Sweatshirt’, ‘Spring Fling ’95” Tee, and the ‘All My Love’ Tee. The hope is to continue to grow and connect with the Nashville natives through these pop-up shops! Everything went wonderfully and both Senni, Olivia, and I were so surprised and delighted by how many bloggers and friends made it out. We discussed how welcoming and wonderful Nashville natives are to each other and how connecting is of huge importance. They hope to be able to share another pop-up shop with White’s Mercantile very soon!
This week we also shot a few looks for Senni. She needed new content, styling, and we are still experimenting with editing styles. It is a very collaborative process, so we try and take everyone’s ideas into account. When scouting locations this week it took a bit more time than anticipated. As much fun as it is to find a location that works, you must keep viewers interested, so finding new locations is crucial and at times challenging when in a smaller city. We ended up returning to a previously used parking garage but had some issues with uncomfortable situations and decided to move the shoot. We tried to experiment a little with different shots, but ultimately came across more situations that were a little uncomfortable. On the drive back, we talked about dealing with those situations and also about how the Alina&Rose brand began. Senni also talked about safe brand inquiries. I receive emails constantly about brand collaborations but am never sure who is trustworthy. She was kind enough to share her insight and experience with brands and being able to know who to collaborate with and when it might not be a good situation.
Big things are being planned for the coming weeks, so stay tuned! :)
